Music Unlimited and Bethesda Urban Partnership

2004 promises to be a great year in Bethesda. Bethesda Urban Parntership and Music Unlimited have once again teamed up to bring downtown the area's best bands and musicians.

The big news is that the Thursday evening concert series has now been moved to Fridays 6 - 8 PM! That means you can start the weekend with a big block party! The series runs May 7 July 30 at the newly renovated Veteran's Park. The Thursday lunchtime series continues in Bethesda Place Plaza 12 - 2 PM May 6 - July 29 and will feature an eclectic variety of music.

Other events to feature Music Unlimited's bands will be Bethesda Fine Arts Festival May 15 and 16 and Taste of Bethesda October 2.

James Bazen Big Band Nominated For 2 WAMMIES

The Washington Area Music Association has nominated The James Bazen Big Band for WAMMIES in 2 categories: Best Swing/Big Band and Best CD for "The Wednesday Night Pizza Band". This year's awards gala will be held on February 15 at The State Theater. For tickets go to the WAMA web site.

Web Specials

Music Unlimited, LLC now has a Web Specials page where we feature bands, disc jockeys and merchandise at deep discounts. Currently we are offering the exciting variety band Brass Alley at a discounted rate. The offers will change periodically so check back often.

USA Canteen

Music Unlimited is very pleased to announce the new USA Canteen. The act features 3 lovely ladies singing classic Andrews Sisters tunes. Also featured is a vintage big band complete with 40's era service uniforms. USA Canteen can even provide professional ballroom dancers for exhibitions and lessons. Government Girls

Two of James Bazen's compositions have been chosen for the sound track of the upcoming documentary "Government Girls" about the women of WWII. They are "Takin' It Easy" and "September Elegy". Both are off The James Bazen Big Band's CD "The Wednesday Night Pizza Band".

Art From Paisanos

Over the course of the season (October through March) at Paisanos the James Bazen Big Band has inspired artists of all types. Check out their unique take on the hippest band in town.
