Jamming in Memory of Guitarist Peter Fields Laportas 1600 Duke Street Alexandria, VA Saturday 8/15/21 1:00 PM We lost a great guitarist and great friend of mine a few weeks back to cancer. His music touched me and all the musicians that gigged with him. Same with his huge fan base. On Sunday 8/15/21 our "home base" Laportas (1600 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA) starting at 1:00 PM many of his colleagues will get together to play music and reminisce. Over the years I have written lots of music for many ensembles encompassing many styles. Commission a piece and give your ensemble and your name a special place in the annals of music history. Yes, that's right. By commissioning a piece your are adding and enhancing the musical repertoire of your time. Sounds over the top but it is true. Think about it.
